Kalyn Asher

Kalyn Asher

Prior to founding Asher Media, Kalyn was Vice President/Media Director at MediaWise/Gleason Calise. She was responsible for running MediaWise, a $27 million independent media agency with local and regional accounts, including Mattress Firm, Don Pablo's, Dallas Mavericks, ComputerJobs.com, Mary Kay and Tia Rosa Tortillas.

Kalyn also gained over four years of strategic planning experience at Tracy-Locke/DDB Needham as Associate Media Director, where she managed the entire $60 million Pizza Hut account, and earlier as Media Supervisor responsible for $20 million of GTE sports marketing and yellow pages business.

Kalyn began her career at Temerlin-McClain and McCann-Erickson on accounts including American Airlines Sabre, Azrock Flooring, Bell Helicopter, MobileComm, Rockwell and Texas Instruments.


Jackie Barrera

Jackie Barrera
Director of Broadcast Buying

As the first employee hired by Asher Media, Jackie manages an experienced media buying team. With 16 years of media buying experience, she has also expanded her expertise to include network buying.

At MediaWise, she supervised all broadcast buys for Don Pablo's, The Dallas Mavericks and Tia Rosa Tortillas, and bought top 20 markets for all clients. Jackie has very strong relationships in all markets and has built a reputation as one of the toughest negotiators in the industry.

Prior to MediaWise, Jackie planned and bought more than 20 markets for Buick, with an emphasis on Texas markets, for JTC Advertising (Chicago, Illinois). Jackie also worked as the Chicago buyer for several accounts including White Hen Pantry and Empress Casino, for which she also purchased Hispanic broadcast.

Jackie began her career in the Hispanic department at GSD&M buying for Coors Light and Wal-Mart. She then moved to the General Market side where she continued buying for some of the agency's largest accounts, including Chili's, On the Border, Macaroni Grill, Grady's and Pearl Vision.

Sarah Lerner

Sarah Lerner
Director of Media Planning

Sarah brings over 30 years of media planning experience to Asher Media, following her position as a Brand Media Director at The Richards Group. Her responsibilities included strategic media planning for national clients Bennigan's and Famous Footwear, and Texas-based clients Reliant Energy and Legend Airlines.

Prior to The Richards Group, Sarah worked for two Omnicom agencies, The Focus Agency and Tracy-Locke/DDB Needham as Associate Media Director on GTE, PageNet, Prevue Networks and Shell Energy. Her account experience also includes Budget Rent-A-Car, Embassy Suites Hotels and Phillips Petroleum.

Sarah began her career at Stern-Monroe Advertising as an assistant media planner and buyer, and was later promoted to planner/buyer and supervisor on Embassy Suites Hotels, Fuddrucker's, Pizza Inn and Trailways Bus Lines.
